As with each Canopy, the one in Hangzhou Jinsha lake is also a glocalized lifestyle hotel within Hilton's portfolio integrating simple service and local culture. As with Asia's first hotel of this brand in Chengdu, the lighting design intent also aimed to reveal the local elements found within the hotel as well as the iconic and unique canopy bed frame of the guestrooms.
Continue readingThe limited-edition X897 PL1 draws inspiration from the beauty of the cherry blossoming in spring. Maurice Taylor's design comprises folded aluminum layers with a white powder-coat finish that wrap around the light bulb like petals. The pendant light has been designed to carry a removable light filter that subtly taints the layers in color. In total, there are 100 lights and 100 corresponding digital certificates produced. These blockchain-based digital certificates (NFT's) carry a unique, numbered printable artwork linking back to the original inspiration, the cherry blossom.

Solving and interpreting without leaving behind respect for environment: this is good design with hope to reconnect human beings to nature. Siro is a table lamp, composed by a hemisphere and a disc, unleashing a radiant light toward the inside. When observed from the front, the lamp seems to consist of two bi-dimensional shapes, creating an illusion of perfect equilibrium.
Continue readingCrypto is a modular lighting collection since it can expand vertically as well as horizontally, depending on how the single glass elements that compose each structure are distributed. The idea that inspired the design originates from nature, recalling ice stalactites in particular. The peculiarity of Crypto items stands in their vibrant blown glass that enables light to spread in many directions in a very soft way. Production occurs by means of a completely handcrafted process and it is the end user who decides how the final installation will be composed, each time in a different way.
Continue readingLittle Kong is a series of ambient lamps that contains oriental philosophy. Oriental aesthetics pays great attention to the relationship between virtual and actual, full and empty. Hiding the LEDs subtly into the metal pole not only ensures the empty and purity of the lampshade but also distinguishes Kong from other lamps. Designers found out the feasible craft after more than 30 times experiments to present the light and various texture perfectly, which enables amazing lighting experience. The base supports wireless charging and has a USB port. It can be turned on or off just by waving hands.
Continue readingOplamp is composed of a ceramic body and a solid wood base on which an led light source is placed. Thanks to its shape, obtained through the fusion of three cones, the Oplamp's body can be rotated to three alternative positions that creates different types of light: high table lamp and ambient light, low table lamp and ambient light, or two ambient lights. Each configuration of the lamp’s cones allows at least one of the beams of light to interact naturally with the surrounding architectural settings. Oplamp is designed and made entirely by hand in Italy.
